Project Discussion Forum

The Project Discussion Forum can be used to keep the whole development team up to date. Use the Discussion Forum to discuss the development and progress of your projects. Various aspects of a project may be broken down into Categories and topics. Users may post and respond to message threads and are able to link their posts to elements within the model via the object links pane.

The forum window consists of three main areas, the message thread area, the message contents area and the linked objects area.

Linking Elements

Linked elements is another feature of the Discussion Form. Users can discuss elements of interest in their model by dragging and dropping them into the "Linked object area". These links can be used to locate elements within the project model.

Forum Connections

The Forum Connections functionality enables users to connect to discussion forums residing in remote repositories. This facilitates collaboration and communication between team members participating in a distributed development environment involving multiple projects. The connection creation and selection dialog is shown below.
