Enterprise Architect FREE Trial Version
This is our trial version of the Enterprise Architect UML modeling tool. It closely mimics the fully functioning licensed versions, to give you an opportunity to assess the feature set and functionality. The trial period lasts 30 days.

Purchase EA Trial on CD
Do you have trouble downloading large files? You can purchase the EA 30 day trial on CD at a cost of US$15 plus US$3 delivery (total US$18). Delivery takes approximately 1-2 weeks.

Corporate Edition Resources
If you wish to trial the Corporate edition of EA - using any of the supported model repositories, you will need to download and run the appropriate database SQL script, from the EA Trial Edition Corporate Resources.
User Security in the Trial Version
User Security is a feature of the Corporate Edition of Enterprise Architect. If you are wanting to enable and test user security in your trial version, you will require the following key:

If you want to find out more about Enterprise Architect without downloading the full package, download the help files for a review of the features and power of this tool. If you experience problems loading the .CHM help file, you may need the HTML Help install files.
Note: The helpfiles are not updated with every new release of EA, but are updated on a regular basis to keep abreast with new EA features.
Note: Internet Explorer 7 may not open .CHM files over a network. As a work around, you can copy the CHM help file onto your local drive, open the file’s properties and select the Unblock button (if displayed).

EA Viewer
The EA Viewer is a read-only version of EA intended for distribution with UML models, to staff or to customers. The read-only version supports all viewing functions, however documentation generation and all 'update' ability has been disabled.

Download DocExample.zip, if you are interested in the quality and type of documentation that Enterprise Architect can output, this example shows some of the capabilities of the package. Enterprise Architect output Rich Text Format files for various parts of the model, which have then been combined into one document using a Microsoft Word master document.
Enterprise Architect Template Projects
If required, you can download the latest EABase.eap default project which is a empty starter project. Note that EABase.eap is distributed with the latest set-up and is not usually needed separate to this.
